Prophets are to do with religion, if anything believers should see him as an anti-prophet as his theories disprove most religious beliefs.

I see him as a brilliant scientist

Darwin was an experimentalist. He sailed on HMS Beagle and made important observations on plants, animals and rocks. His theory is causo-mechanical.He made observations and then drew inferences of far-reaching impact on science of Biology.
His two most important observations were: No two individuals are alike, and the power of reproduction in living beings is great. The latter would lead to overcrowding and this would cause struggle for food and shelter and this in turn would result in survival of fittest and death of those that are unfit. Those that are fit would live to reproduce to cause overproduction and the cycle will be repeated till the favourable variations are sufficiently accumulate to give rise to a different species.
Darwin's words were prophetic but he was not a prophet.

No! Prophets are to do with religion and predicting the future from a religious perspective. Darwin did not do this.

Why do you want to mix Science and Religion? Let prophets remain in theology and scientists in science.

I am sure Darwin would want to be remembered as a man of science. Let him be...

Cheers!!

You have to predict that something is going to happen in the future to be a prophet. He was a scientist that taught about the past.

Why would he be?? He was a great scientist, not in any way a prophet or a moralist.

He didn't create a cult or religion (same thing, right?). He simply observed, made a hypothesis, tested, and his hypothesis holds up today. Thus a great scientist who helped redefine modern biology....nothing more.

No because he proposed the theory of evolution which describes how species evolve from pre-existing species. A prophet predicts the future.

HI FRIEND!! DARWIN IS NOT THE PROPHET BUT IF HE REGARDED AS THE PROPHET OF EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY THEN ALSO IT WILL BE PARTIALLY CORRECT DUE HAVING MANY DEMERITS IN HIS THEORY OF EVOLUTION!!!
