Honestly looks...The reason, you really can't see personality at first look.

I think the first thing people look at is the looks, unfortunately. Sometimes they never get to know a good person because we can all be so judgemental by the outside instead of looking on the inside.

Looks Because I'm always looking for hot guys and Im shallow that way but Personality usuallly wins out

Well, the looks are what draw you to a person. It's nature's way of letting us "see" who is right for us. But it's not exactly like I'm trying to see if a person is "pretty/beautiful" by our society's standards (i.e. celebrities, models, etc.). No, I try to see if the person "looks" smart or nice or friendly. If I see a scowl, I run for the hills. So in a way, I'm kinda looking at what I THINK their personality's gonna be like, using their LOOKS. But it's impossible to tell wat their real personality's like. "Don't judge a book by its cover" is wat they say, but the cover is wat draws a person to a book, rite? Wat's inside that book can only be found out later, not at first. If you can look at a book w/o reading it b4 and already know wat's in it, then ur amazing. But the rest of us rely on the cover and read the contents later. The same applies to humans and their personalities. I hope u understand my silly metaphor.

Usually looks, but I'd rather not.
It's kinda difficult to get to know someone's personality without ever seeing them (and being forced to make some sort of judgement concerning their looks)

Looks never matter wen it comes to serious relationships;but if u meet a person who's gonna be a casual acquaintance,then maybe the personality is to be looked at first.Take it this way,if we meet someone on a flight and are to be in his/her company for another few hours,the looks wud be secondary;that is if we are interested in biding our time properly.A boring person wud hardly be our choice,or someone who is nasty with the stewardesses,or someone clumsy who spills his drink on ur lap!!Right?
So,either way,looks are always secondary i guess.....and that is wat i have followed all these years.

I usually look at the persons outer appearance and then see if my summation of what I perceive their character matches.
