Was Medusa promiscuous or was she raped by Poseidon?

She was seduced by Poseidon (who was disguised as a horse) in one of Athena's temples.

Medusa (unlike her sisters) was born a mortal and was turned into her fearsome state by an angry Athena.

She was promiscuous. The Gorgons were originally beautiful people, but something happened (not sure what), and they became evil creatures who turned others to stone
