Yes, it will slow down when downloading from limewire. The faster it downloads, the slower your internet connection will be. You can set it so it will only download a certain amount so it wont take priority over everything else.


Its not your computer. If you have an old computer, pentium 2 or something really weak, and you have DSL or Cable, the internet will go fast. Just make limewire only download 50% of your internet connection. Or do what I do, I just pause anything im downloading, bittorrent/limewire, because im usually only online for a couple minutes.

using any download program will slow your drive down. The more information that your drive holds, the slower your computer runs. it is not really the "Internet", it is your computer. Delete some old files and watch your computer run faster. It is very much like your car, the cleaner the gas the better it runs. Downloads are stored on your drive therefore weighing your processors down.

of course its going to slow down i have cable and i can still tell its slow your connected and sharing stuff just like haveing a bunch of browsers open
