The best animal I can think of is a well trained, behaved, & loving dog. A dog that the owner loves and cares for, & treats like he is part of the family.

The dolphin! Among the most brilliant animals on the planet! My University Physiology lecturer used to say that we humans are lucky that dolphins don't walk on land ... or else they would have had us jumping through hoops!
