I say that you're never too old for free candy. I stopped trick or treating when I was 16, because all the old people were like "Don't you think you're a little old to be trick or treating?" even though I was dressed up and everything.

take some little kids with you and go with friends. If you're with a little kid (or more) and you're in costume, then noone will say anything. They will think its sweet that an older teen is taking a little kid trick-or-treating.
But if you're looking for candy, wait until the day AFTER halloween. Then all the candy goes on sale, so you can buy only the stuff you want.

nope you go and have fun all you want
One story says that, on that day, the disembodied spirits of all those who had died throughout the preceding year would come back in search of living bodies to possess for the next year. It was believed to be their only hope for the afterlife. The Celts believed all laws of space and time were suspended during this time, allowing the spirit world to intermingle with the living. Naturally, the still-living did not want to be possessed. So on the night of October 31, villagers would extinguish the fires in their homes, to make them cold and undesirable. They would then dress up in all manner of ghoulish costumes and noisily paraded around the neighborhood, being as destructive as possible in order to frighten away spirits looking for bodies to possess.

no one is to old for trick-or-treating! one of my best friend's step mom said next year (when we r 13) she can't go trick-or-treating any more! i think she shouldn't be limmited on when she has to stop trick-or-treating. her mom says she is allowed to go until She chooses to stop even if she's in collage then. and if ppl stare at us we'll say "What we want FREE CANDY!" there is no law that says when u have to stop.

never!
but at this age you need to go in a large group.
after a while, you should stop, unless you take someone younger trick-or-treating.

As long as you dress up and you are nice to the younger kids I don't see why not. Do not go door to door in normal clothes and ask for candy.
