I try to give everyone something they need and can use. For people who have everything I usually give baskets filled with some fancy gormet food, wine and chocolates. For kids, computer games and books (I check with the parents what is on their wishlist).

HI last year I think i gave out the best present to all my Friends and family in their Christmas Card. I found these scratch Cards that had a Christmas theme on them, each scratch card was a winner (all fakes of course) and the rules detailed on the back were really entertaining. the amount of phone calls i got from friends saying they had won loads of money etc was brill. Only had one friend who was not impressed but them she doesn't have much of a sense of humour anyway. So if your looking for a laugh then this has to be the best and for the bargain price of £5 i had 24 cards - i think i got them from an EBAY shop. Will have a look later and see if i can find a link for you. Enjoy

Dad- He loves his football so I'd probably get him a top from his favourite team. He likes to read so maybe a book. He's into erasure and other music that I don't like so maybe a compilation CD with some of his favourite songs on it.
Mum- A subscription to the magazine she reads most. She likes jewellery so some dangly earrings (her favourite kind). She loves to relax and take a break from housework so maybe a day to get her nails done, a masage, a facial or something like that at a spa.
My sister- She's very girl and into fashion, beauty, shopping and boys. So I'd get her a designer top or bag, some earrings or a necklace (she loves bling), some make-up or a skin product, some shopping vouchers or a CD or whatever music she gets into.

I live in a very pretty seaside town but my Mother lives 200 miles away. Unfortunately she is too frail to travel nowadays so for her xmas present I've taken photos of sunrises, sunsets, stormy seas, completely calm sea, storm clouds [big black ones and ones tinged with pink,] and I've put them into a stunning frame that I found in Woolworths at half price. I'm really pleased with the finished product and it cost less than £20 to do, although the pics took 6months to take.

My husband and I don't really have a lot of money and my family is very big...so I try to make things. I learned how to crochet and I make some really beautiful winter scarves, hats, and gloves for the women. They really appreciate them and they are much nicer than things you can get in the store...plus the effort I put into them really means a lot.

Good planning a few months ahead. Remember that you can never go wrong with family pictures and something that will turn out as fond memories.
