Enchantment by Orson Scott Card, a retelling of Sleeping Beauty that is very well done.

And I love Julia Quinn when it comes to historical romance novels. For cleaner historical romance, try Eugenia Price.

I suggest something by Alessandro Baricco.
Read "Ocean Sea". This is honestly one of my favorite books ever, if not my absolute favorite. If you like beautiful writting, tragic stories, and interesting characters this a must read. Even if the beginning frustrates you a bit, stick with this book because its worth it in the end.
Let your imagination run wild because everyone I have discussed this book with has a slightly different opinion and that is another reason to love this book.

hmmmm.... NIcholas Sparks is the name. I can recommend "the notebook". Maybe you've already seen the movie but sure you can't judge a book by its movie. That's romance, drama and beyond! I hope that helped..

Try Rosamund Pilcher's "Coming home". Set in 1930s and 1940s England, there's lots of drama, and there's romance too. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

ANYTHING by barbera kingsolver. she writes beautifully, with strong female characters, great wit, and great love. 'animal dreams' and 'the bean trees' are my top recomendation.

tipping the velvet by sara waters. beautiful writing, lots of drama, dashing romance, and true love.

'geek love' if you are looking for something much more out of the ordinary, facinating, and weird, this is an amazing book.

The Outlander Series by Diana Gaboldon is fantastic. I had trouble putting them down and getting on with the rest of my day.
