Roy Keane was a GREAT FOOTBALL PLAYER for whoever he Played with, from Cobh Rangers aged 18 years, Nottingham Forrest aged 19 - 21, Manchester united 22 - 34, Celtic aged 35 years, For Manchester United he was awesome, remember all those GOALS he made happen, he did not have to score GOALS to prove how GREAT he was. GOOD LUCK as MANAGER for SUNDERNAND, I hope your work there gives you as much pleasure,as when you were playing.

Roy Keane is the traditional central midfielder, or to put it better, a box to box midfielder. Since he had Paul Scholes playing along with him, he handled more of the tackling and ball winning. Put him in a team with cole, yorke, giggs, scholes, becks, ruud and rooney...who needs goals!!

Definitely a 'midlfield general'. He didn't scored many goals, but he created many goals as well as prevented many. (I'm not a Man U fan!!)
Basically, when he was in midfield, he could make the other 9 out players do exactly what he wanted
