Politically, we have not progressed much further than monkey's in trees who still fling poo at one another. People form communities based on their preferences. People with different preferences tend to be ostracized. When two groups start competing with one another for the same resources, that's when we have trouble.

In general, I would say that most people have intolerance for things they don't understand or characteristics and images that vary so greatly from themselves. It is important to measure each person as an individual. I seem to measure people on their kindness to others and their willingness to help others. When you are young and decide to associate yourself with a group or a group image, it is part of an expression of searching for your self identity. Those group labels will diminish as those idividuals become adults.

because they choose to go against what they percieve as the "norm" - and most people want everyone to be in the "norm"
i certainly agree with you though - so long as they are not hurting others or themselves, who cares what they dress like. why is that such an important factor? disliking someone for their attitude though is a whole different can of worms. someone who is mean, spiteful, arrogant... those people, they are worth disliking.

people just have made up their mind that they don't like a type of person because of rumors. Some people just isten to what their friends like and use that as an excuse. I personaly don't like girle girls cause every time i talk to them they treat me horribly. That is prob cause i'm an emo.I don't really understand what this world is full of hatred.all i know is that it is unreasonable.

Because people are jerks. They feel it's necessary to label everything. That's why people pay so much for clothes. The Label.

People hate because they've been taught to hate, anyone thats not conforming to what they think is normal. Most people have been taught to conform, not to be theirselves. So hating someone who expresses theirselves, is jealous partly, because they didn't get to express their inner self.
