Okay, go ahead and call me a prude, but I am fifteen years old and I have NEVER once in my life had any desire to wear anything that exposed my shoulders, midriff, thighs, etc. I do have a "nice" body, but I just don't see any point in exposing more than I consider to be decent. Yet, with my peer group, their lives seem to revolve around dressing in a way that reveals as much skin as possible. Why is this?

Some people dress that way to attract the attention of the opposite sex. Others simply do not know any better. Perhaps their parents even taught them that those things were modest.

Hello,

While that is certainly your right to dress in a way that you find most attractive for you, others also have the same right to dress in ways that are right for them. Try not to judge others, they are mostly following fashion trends. Styles come and go. People have different comfort levels when it comes to dressing. Keep wearing what you like & don't worry about what others choose for themselves.

P.S. Keep in mind that someday in the future you might want to wear something a little sexier for a special occassion perhaps. Not saying you will, just saying keep an open mind about it.

I think it depends on teh person. Some people think it's cool to look that way. Other people think it looks attractive. Me- i do show off some skin but that's because it's comfortable for me- i don't like sleeves and on hot days i like to wear cooler shorts (or when I'm sleeping). I only go as far as shorts and a tank top though.

Everyone is craving attention nowadays. Sometimes, I

think the young feel lost and want to get attention this way.

I think they are attracting the wrong kind of attention though.

I am 52, if I had that kind of body, maybe I would consider it.

I don't understand either. I have been told I have a nice body, and I should show more of it. I wear jeans, and a t-shirt most of the time. I usually shop in the guys section, because I can't stand the way they design women's clothes to suction cup to every inch of our body. If I wanted every person on the street to see what I looked like almost naked, I would.
