Glenda was the good witch of the North. She was played by Billie Burke.

It was the good witch of the south we never saw. And the only time we saw, or rather only her legs, the wicked witch of the east was when the house landed on her.

Sure you see her. Don't you remember the beautiful soap-bubble lady in the pink gown? When she introduces herself to Dorothy she says, "I am Glinda, the Witch of the North."

In the orginal Oz books by L. Frank Baum (there is a whole bunch of these books) Glinda ruled the North part of Oz, where everything was red. (Like how in the Emerald City everything is green.)

Billie Burke .... Glinda, the Good Witch of the North

Glinda the Good Witch who intends for Dorothy to discover for herself how to solve her problems, she knows that Dorothy must grow up along the way. In a way, she seems to represent the parent that Dorothy doesn't have back in Kansas

The witch of the North is Glinda, the "Good Witch." She is the one who tells Dorothy how to get home at the end.

She is a boss at work but not my boss thank God!

She walks by and hate beams come out of her.

Look in her eyes and you will turn to stone.

She's evil lady!
