The whole point of a democracy is to vote in ministers to run the country for us. If you want a say in everything that happens try becoming an MP. As for protesting I wish I had the time, some people have to work for a living not stand around on street corners with a placard and a flask of tea.

It will never happen, all laws have to be debated and voted for, and no-one will ever be able to change them single handed.

And why do people think its blair destroying democracy, all govt,s do what ever they can get away with to feather thier own nests. Look at the sleazy low lifes in the other parties, You think they would be any different or better?

Time to wise up!!

Bush: Imperial President
Blair: Imperial Prime Minister
Majority of people in the USA and UK: Idiots who are to busy programing their DVRs, Ipods, and playing their Xbox's, instead of learning how their governments work.

Sad days are ahead. Teach your children well, so they may pass on the knowledge through the dark ages.

What utter rubbish - such a law would never get through both Houses, so there is nothing to worry about. In some countries it is an offence to spread such nonsense about the Government so be thankful you do live in a democracy and do everything you can to preserve it, including voting if you are old enough to do so next time elections come around.

This is sounding more and more like the good ol' US of A every minute. We managed to get rid of civil liberties, and destroy our constitution. I'm not surprised our cousins across the pond just want to catch up.
