So much for "God bless America." How can we be blessed when we illegally invaded other country (Iraq) and the conservatives have been hiding the real truth from us regarding the number of death tolls Iraquians. The iraquians are flesh and blood just like we are, they are friends, sisters, mothers and fathers to someone else. If we really think this country is based on God's help then how come we have greedy Bush and his friends running this country by giving more to the rich and less to the poor with the tax system. Knowing that how could anyone still have voted for him? Proverbs 22:16. "He who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and he who gives gifts to the rich-both come to the poverty." Bottom line, America is no longer being blessed!

Scripture also also says, "the sins of the fathers will be visited on their children." It doesn't look good for America.

I think that God will hold those responsible for this war accountable as well as those who increase the wealth of the already rich at the expense of everyone else. The fact that Bush was re-elected still continues to amaze me.
But as far as our country being blessed? Yes, I think we are. We are guaranteed freedoms available to very few other countries. In spite of the costs of this war and the lessening of income to many of the poor & middle class, the nation is still a financially prosperous one. Even those on welfare have it better than those in the poorly developed countries. Many people in those countries who work have a yearly income less than a monthly welfare check, for example.
I feel that under this administration the republicans have become morally corrupt; after all, look who their leader is. But, as a country, we can handle the results of a bad administration & overcome them. We need the democrats now to offset some of the excesses of the current administration.

Good grief, I'd think to call us blessed you'd need something more than 3 words to make this assumption.

I know logic and religion are 180 degrees apart, but really.

sorry but why do people find it so hard to understand, if there were not large coroporations, making money, they would not have any employees working.

Tax the companies and the small business people and you put more of the poor people out of work.

You people are stupid. Since when does NOT taking someone's money via taxation constitute "giving"? No one is "giving more to the rich." They are just allowed to keep what they rightfully earn.

And what makes the poor so special that they should be given money stolen from others? They made themselves poor. They chose their road. I don't think they deserve to be treated better than anyone else.
