was there enough action in this book?? why or why not?

this sounds like a homework question....
and yes, this was a fabulous book with pleanty of action, especially considering that much of the book was a social commentary. madeline l'engle sometimes goes overboard on descreptions (especially mathmatical) but she knows her stuff, and even her non action scenes are full of human emotion and character development, which are essential in bridging the gap between scifi and straight up fiction.

Even after reading that book several times, some of the explanations are a little over my head, but I'm still working on them. As for the action, there was plenty for me. I enjoyed the sci-fi and fantasy in it, as well. It flowed really well from beginning to end. Try reading the ones that come after it. Talk about a trip!

i was required 2 read it for an assignment and the book seemed 2 be a little to much fantasy, but depending on each individuals view on action i would have said it was okay
but remember each person likes a certain amount of action or genre

I read it a long time ago, but I remember loving it. I don't care about action in a book. I like ideas, I like to stretch my mind by reading it.

I have not read this book, but my friend has and she said that she loved the action and fantasy in it. She also explained that there was sci-fi in it too. She is really into those kinds of things, but I would rather read mysteries.

Intriguing book. If you like stuff like this though, you might want to try reading books by Stephen Gould. Not the late scientist, the author. Very thought-provoking and really great reads.

I think it did because it kept me interested, and if I remember correctly, it didn't take me too long to read it.

it was 2 boring
