I am interested in the HP dv9000t and dv6000t series laptops. I like them both, but have never owned a laptop before so I don't know if the 17" is too big once you have it for awhile or if I was to get the 15.4"...wishing I had gone with the 17". I plan on leaving it at home always on (ac power) and taking it with me maybe once or twice per month. I was just at the store looking at them- From what I could tell the 17" has a plastic overlay on the screen whereas the 15.4 doesn't. It seemed like the 17" had a glare problem over the 15.4", but I couldn't pivot the laptop screen enough to tell. Anyone else been down this road before?

i have a Hp Pavillion ze4900 and i have a 17'inch screen personally i think its great you'll see when instead of being at a desktop you have it in your lap and you will actually love having a bigger screen most times there alittle more in price but i would recommend a 17' but that computer is different now if you say that it has a Overlay and A Glare probelm then i would stair away some screens do have that probelm and are very disapointing doo to it adds strain on your eyes sometimes in this case the smaller screen will be fine if its as clear as you say then choose the small one and over all have a better computer for you

Go for the 17" display it will save your eyes a lot of strain. because you do not plan to take it a lot of places the larger screen will make for easier use the majority of the time.

Go for the big screen.
But if you like to travel along with your PC then buy a 15 inch one.
It will be easy to carry around the places that you go to.
