THE CARDS SUCK

2006-10-28 08:34:48 · answer #1 · answered by Tigers Gal! 4 · 2 3

What about them? That they lucked into the World Series after winning 83 games in a season that included three 8-game losing streaks? It just shows the flaws with the baseball playoff system, unlike the NFL or NBA, the best team doesn't always win the championship. I saw the Tigers stomp my team, they were unbelievable, clicking on all cylinders. The reason why they lost is not because the Cardinals were better, it's because the Tigers didn't play for a full week. They were rusty, and the Cardinals were lucky to catch them at the right time.

The fact that the Cardinals played as badly as they did down the stretch, barely held off Houston (remember, the Cardinals lost on the last day of the season, they backed in), and just got some breaks. There are were at least four teams in the AL with better records than St. Louis who didn't even make the playoffs.

Yeah, the Cardinals won, so enjoy it. Everyone knows that they are far from the best team in baseball. Best team doesn't always win, sometimes the mediocre ones do now.

Only a mad, sad Tigers fan would say something like the Cards suck. If I'm not mistaken, it was the Tigers that made 67,000 errors in five games. Whatever you say, when it's all over, we are celebrating and you're not. However, I think Leyland is great and he'll be back.

How about this, the Tigers gave up 22 runs, 8 were unearned. I give the Cardinals credit, but in a way, the Tigers beat themselves.

Excellent series since the Cards weren't even supposed to have a chance before they got there. Shows what determination, drive, and human willpower can do for team spirit.

As a lifelong Cardinal fan I am happy. However I am disappointed by the sloppy play of the Tigers.
