But i do have my reasons for asking....
Does anyone out there know if you can be prosecuted for any type of physical violence against a dead body..? UK LAW....

yes, there are many laws about respecting a cadaver and respecting the family of the deceased.
Far to many to mention as some of them come under the public order acts and some of them are criminal acts.

You most definitely can be prosecuted. I cant recall the exact name of the offence but its a serious crime in the UK x

Oh, yeah.

If you shoot a dead body in the head, but you didn't know it was already dead, you can be convicted of Attempted Murder. The fact that the crime of Murder was impossible is no defense.

Yes......troops would be severely punished for desecrating the remains of enemy soldiers (and have been). this also extends to civilians
