I have always wanted to write a book. About a fictional love story or a life that I wish I could have lived. I also wanted to write an autobiograohy, because things about me have come out in my writings that i never knew about myself before. I would love to understand myself better, and in an autobiography, I think I could do that.....

From the looks of things on Yahoo Answers, about 50% of the people want to write a book. Of course I would like to write a book, but I don't think I write well enough. I have tried, mostly essays, and I'm not happy with the results. I would write about Truth and Knowledge, or about my strange upbringing. Just the usual suspect topics.

Yep. I have started a children's book, which I intend to make into a series- but I got stuck because it rhymes as it is telling the story, and the right words to rhyme change the idea of some of the pictures I had envisioned, so the drawings aren't fun to me anymore, and I have trouble focusing. I guess I could make the main character have ADD like I do, but I don't want it to be a tragedy. It's really just something I'm doing to see if other people enjoy where my imagination takes them. I know people who have had their books published, and they are not geniuses- but they are creative and focused at the same time. If you are writing a book, good luck to you.

I DID write a book, even though it took me nine years to finish it (things kept happening: lost notebooks, crashed computers, absoluetly childish writing). I currently have five others, only one I'm working on now which is the sequel to the first. I also have short stories and fanfiction which I enjoy writing and reading.

Most of my books are fantasy or sci-fi, but I'm trying to branch out into other genres with the others.

I have thought about it a few times, I was going to keep a journal and then write about myself you know just to see if anybody would read it but life got boring and I quit thought i didn't have any material. Maybe someday when I'm an old geyser I try again or maybe i will have kids and write about there life. Who knows hell books my be a thing of the past here in another 50 years when everything is electronic.

I actually started writing a simple childrens books a few years ago but never finished. Was going to have my daughter do the illustration because she is such a talented artist (she wants to be an animator).

After reading your question, you have just inspired me to dig up the book I was writing (it's filed on the computer) and finish it.

Thanks so much for you question! :o)

no, I only care about pleasing myself and people I like.

Maybe someday if I have something worth saying. I might write a book. William Styron wrote a good one about being depressed. When and if I see a market for one, I might write something along those lines. I wonder if the psych community would let me.

I think most people, like myself, would like to write about their lives. Everytime I tell someone about something that happened or a situation in my life they tell me that I should write a book, that it's both hilarious and tragic. I really don't have the patience to do it but if I were going to do it, that's what I would write about.
