Being overdressed or being underdressed?

Being underdressed is worse because you look clueless.
If you happen to be overdressed, you can usually pull off the attitude that everyone else is clueless.
Bottom line is if you're under- or over-dressed, your attitude will get your through it.

Underdressed because if you're overdressed you
1. Seem like a very well dressed person
2. You can always take off extra layers, accessories, etc.
Being underdressed, on the otherhand is far worse because you can't really add anything to it if you aren't prepared! Big dilemma there! lol!

ok so that is just my opinion ;]
im not from england or USA so i dont know whether i understood ur question, but i'll try ;] so I THINK that overdressed is not the best pick, i think that WORSE is overdressed:]

underdressed. It's more embarassing to look like a slob then look to fancy.
