info on a notebook 420d?

a buddy gave me this notebook 420d before he left for the army. it has no usb ports or anything new, it has all old out puts, is there any places out there that might upgrade with stuff i need. i tried evrywhere online i know but have no luck. looking for parts and software. any help would be good

Without knowing the manufacture it is difficult to say but look in your local phone directory for computer repair places they may be able to help you. Unfortunately it will probably be cheaper in the long run to buy a new laptop rather than try to upgrade the one you were given.
