i was just wondering if this movie is any good. what would you rate it out of 10?

Just saw it today. I would give it a 8/10.
It's a drama based on a true story. But it isn't all drama, there are some very funny scenes in it. Definitely worth seeing, but it was a little long in my opinion.
The book of the same name by Augusten Burroughs is excellent as well.

My wife would say solid 9 probably 10. She read the book and loves the author ( the person the movie is about).
I found it disturbing and boring at some points.
I would give it about a 5...wouldn't go to see it on my own but glad I could go with my wife who enjoyed it.

I heard the book is filthy. Don't waste your time. The commentary I read said an unwanted little boy is sent to live with a homosexual psychiatrist who encourages him to do everything sexuallly. I hear it is trash. avoid it.
