I have noticed on "Yahoo Answers" that some people make pretty irresponsible comments, be it against homeless people, the poor, the sick?

Only the people who have been through the trauma of a particular illness and the pain the have borne know what real pain is. These irresponsible people cannot be even imagined by any such means even come close to the suffering they are going through or have. The problem with these kind of people is that they have an ego problem and think that they are Gods gift to mankind, not realising what fools they are making of themselves.

I haven't noticed anyone being insensitive to the homeless, poor or sick on here but I have often seen people making fun of all kinds of illnesses. In most cases I think it's because of ignorance and/or plain stupidity.
I wish people could just leave the questions without answering them if they don't have something real to say. Of course there are some questions that are impossible to answer and many aren't even questions.
The one thing that irritates me the most is how quickly people judge others and give the advice "run" to anyone who isn't in a perfect relationship.

I have noticed it too. I think they do it a lot as a competition. So many people are doing it, that others do it to fit in or be a part of something. Most just throw out their opinions or a quick answer which appears to be rude at answers and questions, comments. So many people now care about themselves and don't step into someone's shoes (figuratively) to see where another human is coming from. In our fast paced world, a lot of people use the excuse of no time, and seem very arrogant and not compassionate at all. Unfortunately it is the world we live in, and I can not stand inhumanity towards another human, or their pain and suffering.

Only those that have never experienced the misery in question will be disrespectful to those suffering it. But oh dearie me if you don't think their own misery is the most unbearable thing there is. Some people need to suffer more before they will have repect for others' suffering.

People like to push others around they see as weak in order to hide flaws within themselves from the view of the public. Thus, people make comments like that as a defense mechanism.

They do but some of the questions are posed as jokes and invite a flippant response. Some respondents find it difficult to sort out those from the serious ones.

People don't care about anything but thierself! Even family members are like that. They never think you're going through as much as they are.

maybe they don't take the Q seriously
sometimes i read a Q and feel thier telling porky's
but i'm sure they don't mean to be nasty if they knew the truth

I think unless you have experienced pain and failure in your life you are unable to understand others pain..................... it does show a lack of understanding and immaturity...... but i guess we have to accept that all sorts of people access this site.
