Parents are supposed to love the kids not the kids love the parents, Kids should respect their parents because they are older and more knowledgable. Love is a big word anyway not to many people know much about it.

Because without them, you would not exist. I do not think I am wrong. I grew out of my teenage years and had a baby and realized what they went through for me.
That is not always the case though. If I had abusive, crackhead parents, I doubt I would love them very much.

Because unfortunately you can never love yourself unless you can come to terms with who your parents are and love them at some level. That's because you are part of them and they are part of you, both from a nature and nurture standpoint.

That being said, it is entirely possible to love someone and not like them. Your parents might not be likable people but you'll want to search your soul for some love toward them if you want to be at peace with yourself.

Humans are made so they instinctively love their mother and father. Of course, when one becomes a teenager he starts disliking - or even hating - his parents, for various reasons. I saw your profile and you're a teenager; so am I. I don't feel like I LOVE my parents, but I do like my mother, and, although I'm having a little bit of trouble with my father, I know that I would be pretty upset if they were to die.

Just because there your parents doesn't mean you have to love them. If they are kind and loving parent's that treat you well and nurture you then why not love them?, but if they treat you like sh*t and abuse you and are never there for you, well then go ahead and hate the fu**ers.

I only think that if a person has loving decent parents, how can a person love abusive parents.

children are unwritten maps...if you feed them and bathe them and cloth/take care of them it's just natural they will feel a fondness towards you...that's just human nature...you don't have to even be the biological parent to achieve that...however people are influenced...as a child grows up it will make decisions based upon it's own judgement capabilities...some for the better...some for the worse...in any event your right...there is no guarantee a child will love you just because your its parent..

there isn't a reason to love your parents i don't love mine i don't even know my dad and well i moved from my mom, so people who say u should love your parents need to look at the big picture
