the whole screen is still visible but the icons, cursor and basically everything else is alot smaller. can u help plz?

Right click on your desktop and choose properties and setings, move the slider around until you find what suits you.

The screen resolution of your computer is all that changed. You can change it back by doing the following.
go to the start button in the lower left, left click once. this brings up a window of information. about mid way down on the right you will see an icon and the words "Control Panel". Left click on it once. this brings up a new window. find the icon and words " Display" Double left click on it and it brings up a new window titled "display properties". go to the tab titled "settings" and left click once. About half way down on the left you will see the words "Screen Resolution" and under that a number under a slide bar. I am guessing it says 1024x768 pixels. by moving the slide bar to the left it will change this value, when it reaches 800x600 pixels click on okay and it will change the screen resolution. follow the prompts and everything should be back to the way it used to be. It takes getting used to but I prefer the 1024x768 mode better for the crisper images and better detail in my gaming software.

What he said. Basically what happened is your resolution was changed. Bigger numbers will make the icons etc. smaller, and smaller numbers will make them bigger.
