maybe not hanging as such but they do need to intoduce something tougher alot tougher than what is beeing handed out right now The justice system has to be laugfhed at right now and punishment to fit a crime has to be put in place before there is no hope l;eft for those who dont do wrong and with dna u are not likely to get it wrong are you and if you do then you would have time to get it fixed but in the same hand only a handfull of people will be wrnged unfairly where as now there are mosre innocents getting hurt or killed through crime than would be through death penalty so yes Bring It On

No "they", or rather, we should not bring back hanging. There is no evidence to show that hanging had any positive effect on crime and there is clear evidence, even today, that not all people found guilty of an offence (once punishable by hanging) are in fact guilty. To take a life in "revenge" is tantamount to murder and does not have any place in a civilised society.

Yes definetly for child molesters.

Even better make sunday a "feed the lions a pervert day" and give these scum to the hungry cats IN PUBLIC.

This should make a few people think about doing perverted things.
The problem is seeing catholic priests being eaten alive might offend some catholics.

Who are they? We elect a government. The public via elected governments have decided, in common with the rest of the civilised world (usa excluded) that it is barbaric and unjust to take another person's life even "lawfully".

If its proved beyond any doutb, then yes, a quick injection will save the hard working taxpayers millions. But everything from dna to a properly sought confession must be in place.

CC mentions yes if they kill a copper, what if it isnt a copper? They are only members of the human, working class race like the rest of us. No different , no better

I take this is a UK question ..? if so then ..YES..
But Why just Hanging..? ..There should be "open debate " on what type of Capital punishment to fit the crime committed.

IE... Child Killers / Rapist should have the most painful death.( The Electric Chair) ..then a scale going down to "Lethal injection" for Murder of a public citizen ( you me and most of us )

Murder of a Police officer should be taken as "Treason to the Crown" ... Death by Hanging.

"Life in Prison " means Hard Labour until death.( in Chains and shakels ) ......nuff said

Yes and NO. It would sure bring down crime rates as people would think twice and more carefully but on the other hand if i was hung for a crime i didn't commit my family would not be best pleased and neither would my neck

No never! But i do think that a life sentence should mean exactly that, and while they are in there they should receive the treatment they need. I don't think ANYONE has the right to take another life.

The reason they stopped it is because they hung a lot of innocent people back in the olden days. This might happen again if we brought it back.
