well, I'm not in that situation, but i can see that as i get older that will have to be an adjustment i have to live with. you didn't clearly indicate what your problem is though. are you mad that you are older and are succumbing to the backwards notion that only young people matter? Do you feel socially ostracized? Do you really think you have anything in common with them that you would want to go? If so, then go and stop crying about it.

why what age gap? NO details here. I don't work, in school I was the oldest. Lucky me or I would have been the youngest by a mile.

I understand because I'm a much older student at university. You could join them with the understanding that you are not at that stage of life, so you couldn't expect to be close friends. Carve out a role for yourself as a mentor to their problems and insecurities. People need older friends in life for role modeling.

Yes, and your experience could teach them a lot, don't make a gap integrate age is only a state of mind, youl be as young as you think (act youngly)

Well that used to happen to me. when i was in youth group. They would all go out together but i wouldn't coz i was the youngest. But now a few teens my age came to youth group & i hang out with them :)
