shorts just are too short on my and regulars are wayyyy too long. any suggestions?

where ever i look, shorts are 30 and regular are 32.5

Just have the regulars hemmed. Also, Zana Di brand jeans tend to have about a 31 inseam, so you might try them.

Take your regulars to an alterations person to be hemmed. Make sure to take the shoes you usually wear with them (sneakers will require a different hem than boots). There are some nice jeans with 32 inch inseams in the stores- maybe they'll shrink a little?

Lucky jeans have jeans with inseams of 31 1/2.
If you want precise lengths, try mens jeans or Levis 501.

If regular are too long, why would you want 31?

I think Alloy might, also you may want to try online stores that offer costumized sizes, i think old navy still does or used to do that.
