No, I think it's too intense for kids that young. Those little gremlins are pretty mean. It has a PG rating but I think it came out shortly before the MPAA developed the PG-13. It's fairly violent so I think it would probably be rated PG-13 today.

No way! My daughter saw it when she was 5 and had nightmares for the longest time. I also had to literally crawl under her bed every night to prove to her there no Gremlins under there as well as check her closet and toy chest! I would have never let her watch it. My brother and his older daughter watched it with her on an overnight stay.
