For many years I have organized a large party for all of my friends at Thanksgiving so I could show my love and appreciation for what they did for me during the years, and each year, I selected two of them to celebrate their birthday at the same time with birthday cakes and all. Friends from my groups are also performers and we did a show for the others ( lipsync). We danced and took the " FAMILY PICTURE" all together. Many have passed away since, and I no longer have my house because I had a stroke, but all those friends never forgot our Thanksgiving get togethers, and I have so much help from each of them ever since. It confirmed the universal law of return in the most wonderful way of aboundance. I am very grateful for having so many genuine friends because my family is far away.

My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is bringing out the special dinnerware and silverware sets inherited from both of my grandmothers and serving my friends and family. No matter what food we have, or how its cooked, whether we are grabbing something from the deli or cooking a huge meal - we always set the table in honor of our grandparents.

A lot of the girls go shopping the next morning. We get up at 4 and are waiting in lines by 4:30. It so fun, I look forward to it every year.

We have started doing lobsters instead of turkey. It is much easier. We have steamed clams for a first course, with drawn butter and blueberry muffins for the main course. Apple pie for dessert.
