i think it should any be nov 5th only and i thought that many years ago if nov 5th fell on a sunday local byelaws gave you the option of having celebrations on either the preceeding saturday or the following monday. I actually love fireworks and have many happy memories of saving up for and collecting fireworks before the 5th,
we always made a guy but didn't go collecting pennies (it seemed like begging). Perhaps it was made so special for me beacause my birthday is on the 3rd nov and my sister was born on the 5th.

bloody awful! fireworks should not be sold to the general public and only sold to local organised events, in view of the many tragedies that happen with fireworks, yes some happen at organised events but the majority is caused by brainless idiots who dont have a clue of the danger they cause or by assholes who deliberately go out to injure other people or their property. a national ban should be placed on fireworks to general public sale

To everything there is a season, and this is the time for those dreadful fireworks. I think all moms know that this will pass, so no big deal.
