Mrs B**** who lived in Kepple St, Barrow in Furness. When she went into the shop, Tom the owner used to lift her skirt and spray up it with air freshner, she thought it was hilarious. You could smell her at the top of the street when she was at the bottom.
(That bad you could taste it).

The pus from an infected abscess in an old ladies abdomen. I used to be a nurse in ICU. The stench was so strong that it could be smelled at the other end of the theatre department (about 1/4 mile). What made it even worse for me was that I was about 4 months pregnant at the time and heaving at the slightest whiff of anything dodgy.

I work for a boatyard and one day someone rang up with a problem with their toilet. I went to investigate and found two boys had been using the loo for a week and had broken the flush system. They had broken it the day they took the boat over and it was the middle of summer. The boys had been using the loo all week and the toilet was full to the lid. The smell was horrendous. There were mushrooms and all sorts in it, you could smell it half way down the quay heading. I had to strip the toilet down and pump the "waste" overboard. That's the only time I've been close to barfing at work.

Buric acid (I'm a science major so I do a lot of work in labs) Buric acid is the stuff that is in your vomit that gives it that putrid smell. Open up a bottle and just let it sit...it will slowly diffuse throughout the room, making the room reek of vomit. NOT a pleasant experience, trust me.

Yeah, and as already mentioned...dead bodies don't smell great either. (I used to work in a nursing home and worked midnights and would occasionally stumble in on someone who died in their sleep).

that would be burning dead animals. I was on the highway going from my town to the next, and they had collected all the roadkill. They decided to burn all of the dead animals in a pile and i drove right through the smoke. Lets just say i had to pull over real quick cause I was NOT feeling good!

I can't decide between my trainers after a good workout at the gym or something my dog rolled in at the park once. Both are pretty foul. Worse than durians and that's saying something.

A sample that came from our water treatment plant where I work (one for an industrial site- not sewage). It had been siting around for a couple of days, and I nearly threw up when I took the lid off. i had to wear a face mask just to throw it away!

A house with 3 dogs, a cat, two smokers, and two kids. I believe the dogs and the cat were allowed to relieve themselves anywhere they wanted to.

I cannot tell you how bad the rugs smelled. You needed to wear a mask to walk in the door. It was sooooo overwhelming.

A plane full of drunk stinky men.. I am cabin crew and dread the Tallin flights as we seem to bring back a whole load of the dregs of society who smell vile!!!

Also not very partial to the smell of burning flesh.. My dad used to rear Turkeys for Xmas. When their time was up he would wring their necks, pluck them then with a blow torch he would burn the feather stubs.. Honestly not a nice smell!!!
