Yes, poorly performed vasectomies, or attempts during the original surgery to make them more easily reversible, can result in accidental renewal of fertility.

If the issue is a man with a vasectomy now wants to have children, call 1-713-REVERSE in Houston. They have billboards all over the USA.

Or, go to www.vasectomyreversal.com to read about it.

my husband had vasectomy for 15yrs n did a reverse surgery 3 years ago coz we wanna have a child, after surgery doctor said there s 60-40% chance. Then 6 months after the surgery he did a sperm check, result was zero. Had a friend with similar same case whose husband had it for 10 years then got reversed, she got pregnant 6months after.

If the vasectomy is reversed... has he had a sperm count done lately?

Yes. It can be reversed through a procedure called a vasovasostomy (sp?). It is not always successful.

In addition, if the ends of the tubes (vas deferens) are not sealed, it is possible for sperm to pass into the tube and be passed during ejaculation.

consult with a urologist sometimes a reversal can be done..but you might want to have preliminary test done to see if he is still producing sperm and to see if a reversal will work....no sense if paying for a reversal if his swimmers dont swim
