Go to a department store and get some samples (usually a little tube in a card with some info about the fragrance). Try them on.
Some of the nicest smelling perfumes smell weird when I wear them.
And if you are nice enough to the clerk you might get enough samples to never have to buy perfume ;-)

well it really depends on your age and taste. For example alot of teens wear britney spear's curious, in controll, and fantasy. Also flirty girls wear more fruity or candy-like ones, like from jessica simpsons line. More sophsitacated people might go for hilary duff's "with love" or channel's "luck number 5" i for one ahdore the cute "princess" by vera wang, that targets young teen girls
preppy girls will go for abercrombie or hollisters perfumes and sexy older teens or young women might go for a victoria secret one. Women are more into channel and other brands found at the lord and taylor, macy's, neim marcus or nordstroms counter.
under sources i have a link with many frangaces. also they're are kits that you can make your own perfume to match yourself and your personality, why not give that a try?

I could recommend a few. Carolina Herrera smells delightful. Noa byr cacharrela is soft and simple. Dulce gabbana the red top is a perfume to wear when you wanna stand out! And those are the best ones.

I say go to a department store and sample all the kinds. Pick one YOU like as perfume smell differently on each person.
Or pick a type you like (floral, fruity, woodsy etc) and buy in that category.

Primo ... Adrenaline ... Sunflowers ... Curious...Fire and Ice... Even (sad to say) the Mary-Kate and Ashley sprays are good. I like the blue one - jasmine something...? Try lotions as well as perfumes. They work in more than one way, and tend to last longer.
