Well, not knowing you, that is hard to answer. I'll put in a guideline that may help. Things to consider:
financial boundries
her likes and dislikes
listen to what she talks about, there may be a clue about something she is thinking about--from a new mop ---to a new mink.
This question tells me you are a caring person and want to do something that is good. Well, along with whatever you buy for her, do this--------get a "Mother Christmas Card" Then on another piece of paper or stationery, write your feelings and thoughts of her---how you appreciate the little things she does, even you don't often say so. Stuff like that. It will be the best gift whe will ever recieve. ------And if it comes you do not buy anything, the card and that little letter will suffice just fine, Believe me. What kind of things does your mom like? If you're in a place that she's never been, get her something that is unique to that area. I bought my mom a mother-of-pearl jewelery box and a four panel Oriental scene in blue (her fave color) when I was stationed in Korea.

this is wut did/would do go to macy's or jc penny and get a charm braclet get her about 1 or 2 charms for xmas and her bday and the best part is each one comes from u so she'll love it ^_^
