I am not messing around with someone's freedom of speech Kabum...
As you know...on radio stations the FCC prohibits profanity on air...I am trying to make a pump up CD...I highly doubt that the crowd there wants to hear the N word and the F word especially if there are little children there...Think before you speak buddy.

As far as I can tell, nobody here accused you of being "stupid." Lighten up. Furthermore, this is America and we believe in "freedom of speech." Whoever wrote the lyrics to that song may have had a good reason for including the profanity (or not, doesn't matter) but it IS their song and I doubt they'd feel good about you messing around with it. If you can't handle the profanity, then give up the song. I've eliminated many otherwise good songs from my repertoire simply because they implied a belief in some sort of god.
Never EVER mess around with FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

I've heard Fry's Electronics in California (& possibly elsewhere,) has such a device that you program. They also have a device that eliminates the vocal from a song leaving just the music if you ever wondered what that song would sound like as an instrumental. Both are expensive. Or contact a recording studio and a radio station, they might help you on this!

She asked for an answer not a rant on freedom of speech. The answer to her question is to use a program such as Adobe Audition, Sony Acid, ect... Why would the artists care if you tampered with thier song... the song is being played in front of others and therefore promoting it for free. Mash-up songs could be considered "tampering", but mash-ups usually generate new interest in old songs, again free promotion. Taking out the curse words from a song is not against freedom of speech, its called censorship and it happens everyday in America. Why do you feel the need to come on these boards and drop your 2 cents on a topic such as freedom of speech, when the question asked was for a computer program. No one cares what your personal views are on freedom of speech.

you are just plain illiterate, did you even read the question? She asked for a computer program for editing, and you tell her to just edit it out.... wow

I do not know approximately filtering out the lyrics, however I use Audacity to edit song. If you recognize in which the profanity within the music is you'll be able to bleep it out. You too can gradual down or accelerate and chop song.
