how about you go to a nice store buy some little cirlce bowls put water in them, bout half full, get some roses take off the petals put them in the water, weather they float or sink it's fine, get some floating candles and put them in the water, light them, put them in the middle of the tables and it is really pretty!! Go to Michaels and look at all the pretty mirrors (round, square, octagonal) about 10-12" diameter. Visualize a shallow glass bowl 10-12" diameter, on top of that mirror, with a few colored glass baubles or marbles n the bottom, some water and a floating candle.
You can also create some fantastic floral arrangements, but the glass-bowl with floating candles atop a mirror is pretty classy.

I got my centerpieces out of Home & Garden Party....but try going to a craft store, like Michael's or AC Moore........they have lots of ideas there of things that are inexpensive and easy to make!
