Make sure you have nicely tweezed and shaped eyebrows.
Almay makes coordinated shadows, liner and lengthening mascara, to bring out and or intensify your eye color. I use the shades for hazel eyes. You can buy these products at any drug store or someplace like Wal-Mart or Target.

Are your eyebrows shaped and tweezed? That is the first thing, think of them like 'frames' for a photograph. A beautiful picture always has a good frame. Try www.glamour.com for tips on brows and eyecolor. I personally would try mossy green and/or bronze for brown eyes. Apply over lid and then accent with a slightly darker color in the crease. Then, use a shimmery opaque powder on the brow bone to highlight. This will catch the light and "open" up the eye. Then dab a bit of the shimmer powder right on the inside corner of the eye(this "opens" them up too). Line eyes with a charcoal pencil(you can choose the color), then smudge for a smoky look. Finish with two coats of mascara. I prefer maybelline professional. Experiment with color, you are young enough to play around with funky shades. Enjoy!

This is a routine I use when I look tired to make my eyes look bigger and more awake.

1. Apply lightest color shadow you have on your eyelid, starting at your lashes and going all the way to the bottom of your eyebrows [[white, light grey or silver, or light beige will all work fine]]
2. Do the same to your lower lid
3. Line your eyes with black or brown [[thicker on the outsides, thinner on the insides]]
4. Use a dark color like purple or black at ONLY the outside corners of your eye, blend at the edges of the eyeshadow so it doesn't look like a spot of black on the white.

It sounds funny when you're reading it, but it looks nice.

for starters, pink eyeshadow always looks good with brown eyes. green looks good, too.
this is how i make my eyes look bigger: only put eyeliner on the outer two thirds of you bottom lashes. do the eyeliner thicker on the outside and get it really thin when your about halfway on your bottom lashes, so you can make it "dissapear" when you get to two thirds.
you're going to do practically the same thing with your eyeshadow. apply the darker shade on the outer half of your eyelid in a triangle shape. then apply the lighter shade on the inside half, filling the other triangle. then you can use the eyeshadow applicator to blend the shades.
when using macara after using an eyelash curler,(eyelash curlers work so well to make your eyes look bigger and open!) apply the mascara by brushing the outer third of your upper eyelashes up and out towards your temples. then brush the middle eyelashes straight up. and then you can brush your inner third of your upper eyelashes out towards the top of your nose.
This creates the whole "'open eye" look, creating bigger, more beautiful eyes!
good luck!

light eye shadow on the inside of the eye, a hint of dark one on the outside. black mascara top and bottom lashes and v.imp--> never use black eye pencil on the inner of bottom eyelashes, instead I use a kind of white pinkish one which really opens up the eyes nicely when combined with black mascara. I have brown eyes too, I like pink, blue, brown and bronze eyeshadows best, I tend to avoid gold or white ones except maybe for the base colour. the best way to learn about make up is to experiment on yourself because the colours that suit you depend also on your complexion. the ones I mentioned look best on slightly tanned skin.

This is what I do: darker hue at lash line, then a medium hue in center, now again w/a lighter hue on top. White shadow in the inner eye and on the brow bone-top off with mascara at the outer corners of the eyes-as heavy as you see fit. This works for me.

never use dark liner to line the eye if you are trying to make them look larger instead use white liner to line the eye. as for eye shadows you are young and at your age you can get away with wearing a lot of different shades try some of the eye shadows that have a little glitter in them(pink, ice blue color).
good luck!

Wear black eyeliner just on the outside of the base of your lash line. for brown eyes you should wear smokey purple eye shadow.
