What do you think of women using PMS as a reason for their criminal behavior? They sometimes have reduced sentences because of it. Honest opinions please. Don't be afraid to say what's on your mind.

PMS doesn't cause women to be viciously violent in most cases, don't you agree? I just get mildly crabby. Honestly, the fact that someone could have a reduced sentence because, "Oh, it was PMS, blame PMS!" is ridiculous.

PMS can make you behave in different ways. It can make you stressed, it can make you do things that you would not do when you are not going through it. They have medications now to help women get through this time without all the side effects of PMS. I know that when I was younger that it made me do some mean things. I was always stressed and short tempered. My mom told me to take asprin to help, and it did! Some women are worse than others. So when it comes to using that in the court room for reasons for what they do, I can understand it myself, but know others can not if they do not go through it.

Nonsense. While PMS can speak to state of mind at the time of a crime, it isn't going to result in a sentence reduction.

My opinion is its a bunch of crap, same as postpartum as an excuse for mothers to murder their kids or to have sex with minor boys.I am just tired of nobody wanting to take responsibility of thier own actions. We have become a society of blaming our bad behavior on everyone and everything else except themselves."I had a bad childhood,I was molested by a priest,my husband is gay..,etc etc."We are adults and it is I that is responsible for me,not my parents or my siblings or my children or migraine headaches.Anyway you get the jist.
