I can remember being at my aunt's house one evening and was spending the night. I got up the next morning, not yet fully awake, and sat down to go to the bathroom- right into ice-cold, cleaning chemical-filled water. Evidently, she had forgotten to flush the toilet and put the seat back down after scrubbing it the day before! I had to immediately jump into the shower to wash it off, as the toilet bowl cleaner she uses is chemically caustic. (I wasn't injured though, thank heavens- just had some irritation.)

Yes, there are always men who just don't think or refuse to put toilet seat down. I always try to look before I sit down!

Only happens to people that don't look where they sit or where they step. Should be a lesson (but isn't to most).
I was brought up in the country and there you NEVER sit or step without looking. ;-)
These answers seem to come from all city people. One would think that getting their butts wet (well deserved BTW), would teach them for future events... ;-)
