After a few days held upside down, the person would be in danger of a stroke, which could be fatal. If fed and otherwise provided for, the length of time a person could survive in this position would be highly variable.

well let me tell you something paulcyp it doesent matter if you have food or not you will die within a few hours beacause you blood will reach your head that means when you are upside down blod cant stay the same place it will run and it cant run up so it will run down

With or without food and water? That would be the key issue. Without food and water, probably about as long as a person right side up without food and water.

depends where they are hung upside down...i would say not long in a volcano...

not for long because the blood rush to one area like the brain is not good for the brain or other parts of the body.
