There is a smell like something burning sometimes when I push the brakes. What can it be? I have a 2005 dodge grand caravan. And sometimes when I first drive in the morning. What could this be?

Smells like the brake lining(s) is gone and its metal to metal or you're low on brake fluid.

Actually from people I have spoken to, that burning smell is becoming quite common with the 2005 dodge grand caravan... They all took theirs to the dealer and as soon as the power steering fluid was changed, the smell disappeared. Not too sure about your case. It;s best to take it to the dealer and get it checked out.

Sounds like you have some kinda serious problem with your brakes- perhaps the brake pads are wearing thin.. that was what was wrong when my car did the same thing.. You should have one of the specialist brake places check it out.. or your car dealer you bought it from cause it probably is still under warranty..

Does it also have a noise like a unsafe sound. Take it to your garage it's hard to give advise without having the car here.Much Luck.

I think you might be low on Coolant you can buy it at like walmart or something its for your radiator... It probably needs a new refill.
