it may be difficult to get the earrings back in, as the holes will be sore and swollen. also, you would *definitely* need to thoroughly disinfect your ears and earrings again with alcohol or peroxide (both which may sting a bit) because they could get bacteria in them. while your earrings are out, the holes may ooze a little fluid (gross, but true) and get crusty if it dries. after a week or so they won't be as difficult, but they'll still need disinfecting. (it's good to clean the ears and earrings twice a day with the earrings still-in anyway.) keeping them clean is the key to having them heal properly and hassle-free. once they're infected, they're prone to re-infection 'cause it's such a small hole it's hard to clean every surface. you can do it, but be careful and get ready for a little re-entry pain!

I got my ears pierced 7 weeks ago. I didn't take out the studs for five weeks, but even after five weeks, if I take my earrings out for more than 15 minutes, it is difficult and somewhat painful to put my earrings back in.

You might think if you just take them out for a minute nothing will happen but it will. As soon as you take them out before they are healed (about 5-6 weeks) they will start to heal. From both the inside and out. I wonder why you are wanting to take them out, maybe because you dont like the earrings that the place has. I had a friend who tried to do that, got his ear peirced and wanted to use different rings. So he wanted two days and tried to put his in and it DID NOT WORK. Dont try it, you will be wasting your money.

yes because you are suppose to leave the studs in for at least 6 weeks and use ear piercing solution to keep them clean If you remove the studs before that the holes will get infected.
