make sure you've got something warm and cozy for you to wear after you have the baby. you will probably be really chilled for a few days even ,and of course clothes for the baby a blanket to cover the baby if it will be cold or even cool where you live when you go in to have him/her.you'll want your shower things shampoo soap etc. toothpaste and toothbrush. most hospitals provide these things but they're not the greatest stuff .and slippers. I'm sure there's more but its been almost a yr. since my last hope this helps

I think that you should go on a tour of the maternity department and ask what they provide, I took so much with me that was provided by the hospital, the staff looked at my bags as if to ask what I needed everything for!
Make sure that you have your own slippers though, they were the one thing that made me feel comfortable!

I think now is the best time... you could go into labor at any time up to 40 weeks and it's better to be safe than sorry. I packed my bag at 35 weeks. I got the list I used from www.babycenter.com. I also made my birth plan there. It was a very helpful site.

you will need an outfit for the baby, clothes for yourself to go home in, and an toiletries that you might want while you are there. you only stay 24 hours at our hospital so you might want to check with them. sometimes they have a list that can be helpful.

By 35 weeks I was 2-3 centimeters dilated and they told me to pack my bag. I would say right around then.
