what is the right clothing when u go to church?

u go to church but u usually wear jeans what should u really wear?

Unfortunately god excepts you however you look but a lot of churches don't.If you r going to a church that people r dressed up then of course you have to as well or you'll have people looking at you and unfortunately judge as well.As long as your not wearing a miny skirt an tank top.Usually you cover your body.lol a dress shirt for a man and a blouse withdress pants or a tastful skirt or a nice dress with nothing revealing.If what you want to wear is something you would wear in a club then you know its not for church.Hope you find what u need.Its to bad you can't go as is because a lot more people would attend its sad because some people won't attend because they can'y afford the 1 outfit to wear.

As far as proper church attire is considered, it would greatly depend on the church. It seems that in many church's previous traditional attires (such as dresses and skirts for women and slacks for men) are being replaces with more casual clothing. In many more modern churches it is now deemed acceptable to wear jeans. Personally I'd say wear what you want, as long as you look presentable. God made us naked, he doesn't care what we wear. We are just dressing in a way that does not attract attention away from the message and give it to our wardrobe.

In the Greek Orthodox Church

Men should where at least a shirt and good pair of pants, if not a suit.

Women should where proper formal clothes. It is frown upon and may be thrown out of church if they are wearing pants and not a skirt.

This is strange since a skirt is more revealling.

different churches have different oppinions I go to church like 2 times a week usually.. and we wear skirts.. we believe.. u should look nice when u go to church.. u shouldnt be wearin a super mini and a tube top of course but a knee lenght skirt and a short sleeved.. nice shirt would be just fine.. now we also believe wear ur best on sunday!!!

It depends on what your church believes. Alot of churches have just casual clothes, but some are different. Like.. mine. We wear skirts/dresses, men wear shirt and tie.

There is the parable about the wedding reception ... where the master invites everyone in town to his daughters wedding ... then at the wedding he is offended at the ppl who wear work clothes to celebrate his joy at his daughters marriage.

Church presents this parable in two ways ... yes, appearance matters ... but what you’re wearing on your soul is also visible to God. So, in my opinion and interpretation of this parable from Jesus is to look good on the outside and inside. Dress as if you were attending a wedding; but modestly.

The 'Vatican' actually has 'Fashion Police'. Arms should be covered to at least the elbow ... and knees should not be shown.

I wear a jeans skirt down to my knees some ballet flats for shoes and then a nice top! Make sure your top doesn't really have any words on it like Nike or something like that!

well there's nothing wrong with wearing jeans, just make sure they're nice jeans. for instance think wearing hole-filled jeans with a t-shirt and flip-flops is underdressed...but a nice pair of no-hole jeans w/ a cute button down shirt w/ some strappy heels is cute and appropriate. and u can also wear shirts and cute tops and flip-flops, or strappy heels sandals.

me, I like to dress up a little bit. Perhaps instead of Jeans, a clean pair of khakis or a modest dress, and guys should include a collared shirt and tie.

well nowadays you do wear something casual...i mean church is a place of worship you should really wear nice clothing i mean it doesnt have to be khaki pants or a dress but i mean a polo and dickies would be ok and for women a nice skirt and a sweater...
