Any creative ideas on how to cover up or BETTER remove the offending name on the back of the jersey. Maybe change the name.

It depends on the material of the jersey. Most fabric stores carry the basic material to cover up TO's Eagles jersey, LOL, but have someone embroider(is that a word?) your name on the back. I had a jersey from the Texans and i switched the name when the player was cut.

There are 64 players on an NFL roster (including practice squad). There are 32 teams. That equals 2048 total players in the NFL. There are 6.5 billion people in the world. That means that any player on any NFL roster is better than 99.999997 % of the rest of the people in the world. Therefore, there are no "crap" players in the NFL. If you didn't like the guy, why did you buy the jersey? I'm a cowboys fan, and I wouldn't take a Redskins or Eagles jersey if someone gave it to me.
Oh, crap, I'm going to get another violation for not answering the question. How about this? Put a piece of tape with the words "is a crap player" under the name.

So you "got" it for cheap = you paid for it despite it being a crap player? You get what you pay for.
Anyway, this obsession sports fans now have for buying jerseys with players' names on it is lame. Real fans show up and cheer and do not need a jersey to prove their "fandom."
