Its all name branding dude. People are already comfortable with the name Youtube. Alot of people don't know that Google owns it so they might lose customers. Some people may not like google so that is another reason. Its like how Nike owns Cole Haan, and Bauer skates but those companies still keep their names. Its just people who are comfortable with the name brand keep there customers.

also, just want add that Why change a site address when everyone is already familiar with the youtube domain? This a smart way to market and buy business's

Probably because a ton of people use GV, too, so they wanted for that to still be a dominant source of video. If they just discontinued GV, maybe some people wouldn't know about YouTube, also, if they discontinued GV, they would have to move all those videos to YouTube, which would be a very long and cumbersome process.

Hi!
I heard they are canceling google vids.
But also YouTube still gets a small profit of them so google could take vids people are sending to the more popular YouTube, nd make all the profits on google.
So thier either gunna work hard to promote google vids, or cancel it.
