Not exactly water proof, but you can DRY it out. There are no moving parts, and the storage media is deep within the silicone chip, so it will resist damage. The new USB memory sticks are nearly an ideal media; but they do have a limited life, so you would not expect them to last 50 years. As a transport media, they are perfect.
Good luck

Means ur usb showing up because your pc is seeing. Response from it, but basically all the data (probably) got corrupted, it happened to me before but on my enternal hdd, i had to forget about it and start over again, so i think u cant get anything back. Oh and btw: next time just get a 16gb(or you preferred size) SSD and SSD is a solid state drive usb stick its inexpensive comparing to a normal usb, and its water proof and shock proof and also VERY fast data read/write rates.

The stick that you are referring to is knackered It doesn't matter what is on it ......... its gone ......... the chances of recovery is none existent The flash drives that we all use are not as reliable as the manufacturers would like us to believe as I, and some of my friends have had them go pear shaped with data loss What the other guy said about usb solid state sticks is questionable ... I say this because in my experience, they are not that reliable, as a couple of relatively new ones have gone down while still under manufacturers warranty with a loss of all data, so wait a little longer before lashing out on these type of storage devices until they are a lot less questionable

I don't believe there are any, but there are cases that are that you can buy.
If you drop one in water you can let it dry for a several days, in a warm place, and it should be fine. If you drop it in water and need to dry it quickly, a hair drier will work, but to keep from damaging it hold it in your hand. As long your hand can take the heat, the device will be fine. When you think it's all dry, try tapping the USB plug on a table a few times because there can still be water inside it. If there is any doubt repeat the heating a few times, if there is any water inside when it's powered you will destroy the components.
If a drink (other than just water) has gotten inside it, soak it in rubbing alcohol for a few hours. This step will greatly reduce the amount of residue. That residue can eventually destroy the board inside. After the soaking, just let it dry very for a few days to make sure it all dry inside.

Not unless is specifically says on the package. I had one that went through the wash and dryer, and it worked fine, but I think it was just out of luck.
