I usually go to a Halloween party. But this year, my BF's working on Halloween night (hes a barman). So we can't go out.
I'm nearly 35 weeks pregnant with my first baby and too tired and uncomfortable to do much - can't drink, can't really go to a party or sit in a smoky pub or club.
I love Halloween though.
I want to do something but I'll be stuck on my own at home. I've bought a pumpkin, some sweets to give out to the trick otr treaters, some little halloween decorations etc,
I was thinking of just dressing up and watching Most Haunted Live or some scary vids etc, and giving out sweets to the tirck or treaters, but thats seems a bit sad doesn't it?
Any suggestions?

I'm looking forward to next year and making a costume for my little boy!
My other half usually gets the night off and we usually go to the party at the pub where he works as its one of the best in Cardiff - last year we were Gomez and Morticia and the year before my BF was "The Scream" and me and his brother were Spike and Drusilla (as his brother had bleached blond hair at the time!)
This year I wouldn't fit into a costume anyway!!! Plus been avoiding pubs like the plague because of all the cig smoke.

definitely stuff your face with chocs but careful which scary movies you get, don't want the baby arriving early now do we?
if you feel the need to actually do something carve some pumpkins, great way to pass a couple of hours
compile a Halloween quiz so when the kids come 'round if they answer a question correctly they get a treat if it's wrong they get a trick
good luck with the pregnancy

You already celebrated Halloween 35 weeks ago! A treat will be given you when the proper arrival time comes. Fix up a baby's room or get things ready for the big day to come! If you have other female friends who are pregnant or who have had their child recently, invite them over and have a party!

When your pregnant, and can't drink or go mental and dare some drunk to jump off a bridge, it's not sad. Watch some japanese horror and trick, trick or treaters with a hose or eggs or an aligator.

Sounds ideal to me - don't be so hard on yourself. You should be relaxing at this time. Enjoy the kids who come round, watch most haunted live with a box of chocs and enjoy yourself. Not sad at all, just what you need. Good luck with the baby.

I think I'd just give out candy all dressed up and scare the kids...just a little...and then I'd go searching the interenet for costumes for one year old kids so you can make plans for next year dressing up your baby...maybe a set of family costumes.
