There are lots of good ISPs. Depends on the area you are in and if you have cable, DSL or landline modem. In my area there is no competition so I am stuck with MediaCom, who I think could do a better job of helping with security issues. They do have good tech support to the point they think they are responsible. The line is drawn too close to them and too far away. Hate it when tech support of any company say "Oh, you will need to call xxxx as they are responsible for that. Then I call xxxx and they say call Media Com, they are responsible for that.

A lot of people say DSL, i would only choose that if I did not have a big enough budget. Otherwise go with Optimum online. It is 50 dollars but if you also want the phone service plus cable TV, it comes out all together to 100 dollars a month. I hope this helped. If you need more help email me.

You don't give your location so don't you think that would be a good idea? Contact your local terestrial telephone company as a first step and go from there. You also don't say whether you want dial-up or cable.

I like Aol especially since they lowered their price to 9.95/mo. They also have live online help if you ever need it. I've used it several times and they are all knowledgeable and real helpful. Hope this helps you decide.
